Looking on the Internet as if through the "peephole"
The 25 years from the 1989 Revolution have passed so quickly and, at this hour of reflection, I ask myself what has changed in the inter-human communication all this time. If I ask this question to the younger people (15-22 years old), they would certainly require more time to answer, not because they would not find a quick answer, but because they were already born in a different world. This generation which is connected to all sorts of systems involving technological means of communication would hardly understand how it was possible that, at the same time when people in America and other countries in Europe had widespread access to the technology which allowed them to communicate between them at any time, in the mean time we would not indulge ourselves in having a landline at home or, even further, a black and white TV set.
POETIC SIGNIFICATION AND COMMUNICATION
Abstract
Poetic signification and communication is not an article in which I wish to bring to attention some definitions of what we call poetry and poetics, even if in order to make myself better understood I appeal to some definitions, especially from philosophy, then from the literary theory and semiotics. This paper demonstrates that as long as the poem is closely related to culture, as long as it generates visions and different ways to discover existence, the world as a whole, as long as the code artistic transmitter, thecreator, the poet communicates manifestations of the spirit then it is language; a different language from the common one, primarily because the transmitter is expresses himself on purpose through codes and special images, sometimes abstract, metaphorical images that may not be available to any reader;a language of Ludens, of poetic enigmas ... The poetic texts and messages, the same as the usual referential messages carry with them an information transfer, only that in the (aesthetic) poetic text a complex system of relationships takes shape. Starting from some major theorists of the poetic art we find out that semiotics helps us tolook at a poetic text in structural terms, that poetry and the spite of low redundancy produces a series of messages much more fertile - as I. Lotman states - than any other communication form ...

HUMAN VOICE - A MEANS OF COMMUNICATION IN LYRICAL PERFORMANCE
Abstract
The paper approaches the possible interpretations of the manners in which human voice may transmit feelings, emotions, experiences, by means of professional singing. Stress is laid on some objective aspects of communication through singing, and a brief historical survey of the art of teaching vocal music - based on the own experience of the author - is offered. Also evidenced are the differences among the various types of voices and the methods for their full valorisation, for transmitting quite different artistic messages, alongwith the qualities of human voice and some of its possible shortcomings. Aspects of vocal technique are also discussed, as well as the manner in which they may be transformed into vehicles of artistic messages, for the achievement of genuine masterpieces of musical interpretation.

CITIZEN OF EUROPE: NIJINSKY IN QUEST FOR IDENTITY IN TILL L’ESPIÈGLE BY TÉO SPYCHALSKI
Abstract:
Till l’Espiègle, a theatrical production based on the Journal of the Russian dancer of Polish origin, Vaslav Nijinsky, is a Francophone play, performed for the first time in 1982 by a Quebec actor, Gabriel Arcand, within Groupe de la Veillée in Théâtre Prospero in Montreal. The montage of excerpts from the Journal was prepared by Téo Spychalski in order to establish a bridge “entre celui qui n’est plus là et le public qui écoute” (Levesque, 1982). The directors managed to create a performance for a single actor, in which Gabriel Arcand recalled the tragic path of the famous dancer, Vaslav Nijinsky. Born to Polish parents, brought up in Russia, the European artist, Vaslav Nijinsky always sought his human, national and sexual identity. In our article, we propose to analyze this quest for identity in Téo Spychalski’s drama production.

THE ANIMATION FILM, A FIELD OF CULTURE INTERFERENCE
Abstract
The article attempts to rehabilitate a disparaged art - the animaton film/cartoon - and removed from the shrine of arts, which in the XXIst century is more and more visible in the media landscape through a variety of productions (short films, feature films, serials, TV shows, videos, commercials, generic etc.).
The disappearance of boundaries allowed anl openness to a multicultural dialogue that can be traced in all the areas of art and culture. Particularly evident there are the interferences in the audio visual arts and, specifically, the animation film/cartoon, which became adequate space for the integration various arts. Namely, the animation film/cartoon is notable for its ability to exploit various cultural formulas. The analysis of films from different geographical areas comes to highlight/value the animation film/cartoon as art, in which on one hand cultures interfere/merge, and on the other the elements of the various cultures are valued and promoted.
Thus, elements of European culture find their place inherently in the production of the Romanian space (The Scream, 2010, directed by Sebastian Cosor). The oyher way round, in the European films elements of the Romanian culture can be traced (Follen Art, 2004, directed by Tomek Baginski).
An example of items interference from other cultural areas can also be the film The Holy Thursday (1989, screenplay by Victor Pavliuc, directed by Valeriu Curtu) produced by Moldova-film studio.

AIR FOR ELIADE ― BETWEEN THE ACTUAL TEXT AND THE MUSICAL TEXT1 ― IN DIALOGUE WITH COMPOSER EOIN CALLERY, STANFORD, CALIFORNIA
- Mr. Callery, Air for Eliade is your MA Composition Thesis Concert presented at
Wesleyan University in Chapel Middletown CT.2 How come you have chosen for your dissertation paper, which is about music, this title having as a starting point Mircea Eliade’s work ?
- The title of my thesis concert was The View From The High Horse, Air for Eliade was one of four pieces my Masters Thesis Concert. The audience did not have a program or know the title of the pieces. The four pieces where preformed without interlude. So I guess that the title of the concert somewhat explores privileged information – who gets to see what – and hierarchy.
RABINDRANATH TAGORE INVITES MAN TO REHARMONIZE HIMSELF WITH NATURE
Abstract
Man is the product of nature and part of nature, like all beings living on the Blue Planet (Earth). As all the other species, man is the result of evolution on this planet. Through man, nature and, generally speaking, matter, have learned to know their own inner side.
The Judeo-Christian religion considers man to be the king of creation, having the mission of mastering nature. But, in his megalomania, man has misinterpreted the notion of master. A master should take care of his subjects; he is not above nature, but only one of its components.
Along his evolution, man has become an enemy of nature, the only one of all species who has turned against it.
By analyzing the behavior of Indians, who live in harmony with nature, and that of the Western civilization representatives, who consider themselves above nature and dare to intervene for modifying it, before truly knowing it, Rabindranath Tagore addresses MEN and invites them to reharmonize themselves with nature. Return to nature and man’s reharmonization with nature is the only solution that can grant the survival of both NATURE and MAN, as an earthly being.

“UNIVERSALLY ACKNOWLEDGED TRUTHS” – MORAL AND SOCIAL PARAMETERS IN JANE AUSTEN’S NOVELS
Abstract
Jane Austen, nowadays one of the most beloved writers of the British literature, was neglected for almost one century by the history of literature. That was just in the second part of the 20th Century that Jane Austen’s literature was rediscovered and properly approached and appreciated for its sharp critique against the British society of the early 19th Century. Improperly considered as simple love stories with a happy end, her novels are actually an accurate reflection of the British society in a time of severe social and cultural transformation. The social network and the moral quality of its members are the base on which all her novels are built upon. The acknowledgement of the interacting between morality and the social conventions is critical for understanding Jane Austen’s literary work. This article wishes to address analyticallythe way in which the social and moral aspects of Jane Austen’s novels determine the entire construction of her fiction.

VIOLENCE - A RECURRENT THEME IN EDWARD BOND’ PLAYS IMAGERY AND SYMBOLS
Abstract
Bond’s treatment of violent actions has more than once been considered as cathartic. The actual act of violence triggers a strong emotion of reaction as it should. What seems to happen is that we respond to actions, to real events not theatre events taking place in a theatre structure. Events, especially the violent ones, in Bond’s work, have both causes and consequences and cannot be seen in isolation. With elements of comedy to control the judgement of the audience emotions are not diminished.
Key words: violence, symbol, animal imagery, the wall, the river, the bridge.

PUBLIC COMMUNICATION AND MORAL VALUES IN THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY
Abstract
The paper focuses on public communication and moral values, discussing the strategies of public communication characteristic to the new socio-cultural context, which assume a utilitarian operationalization of both morality and promotional legitimacy. Marketization of public communication involves enormous risks for the society. The marketing approach covered all spheres of public communication, which led to an extended promotion of non-values in the society. In our opinion, the lack of moral references in public communication denotes that Moldavian society faces an already generalized moral crisis, so that social responsibility remains as a main goal, while transformation of the public sphere in the era of technologies requires a new approach of the moral values, and building up of a new ethics for public communication.
Keywords: moral values, public sphere, public communication, social responsibility.
THE MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE POLITICAL CRISIS IN THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA BETWEEN 2011 AND 2013. THE CASE OF THE PERIODICALS “TIMPUL” AND “MOLDOVA SUVERANA”

THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA: THE EUROPEAN OPTION EXAMINATION
Abstract
The present article follows the topic of the European option of the Republic of Moldova and attempts to shape the current questions on the path of European integration of the country. The author revealed obstacles that hinder the achievement of this goal (poverty, political instability, unresolved conflict in the eastern territory of the country) and further emphasizes that this result should be the effort of the entire society. Also, of great importance is acquiring and learning from the experience of other states, which are currently members of the European Union. In these circumstances the media plays a special role. At the same time, the media coverage of the topic of European integration it is not a simple and univocal question. In the journalistic circles, as in political ones, it is recognized the complexity of the problem. Accordingly, the pages of the press, the radio and the TV often submit a confused perception of many aspects of it, a superficial treatment of the issue, derived from insufficient knowledge concerning specific situations. It often operates with schemes and with clichés to which readers, listeners and viewers are familiar. Yet, journalists would not come to overthrow these schemes, but rather they adjust, maintain and perpetuate them. Most often the dilemma of “to reveal the essence of the phenomenon” and „look spectacular element” is resolved in favour of the second option. Talking about European integration on the media, means, quite frequently, to speak at the chapter of „funny”. Therefore, it is argued in the article, that a successful effort of European integration resides at the crossroads of the several issues that still need solving.
